Meeting and Study Rooms are available at several of our library locations. Reserve a meeting room online or book a study room in person or by phone. All that said, school is about more than what you can learn. It's time to make new friends and reunite with old friend groups. Try new things like a sport or instrument. Maybe spark up some young romance! Whatever your new school year brings, get inspired and entertained by graphic novels and manga characters returning to school. | | | | | The library is an important community service—an information and lifelong learning resource open to everyone—and volunteers are a vital part of what makes this Library District successful. Our volunteers do several tasks throughout the library, including organizing, computer aid, assisting staff with creative programs, Job Club assistance, homework and literacy tutoring, preparing materials for library programs, maintaining the Seed Library, shelving, and more. Consider joining us by signing up to volunteer at a branch near you! Are you looking for more employment options? Need help with your resume? Join us for Job Club every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Headquarters Library, every Thursday at 11 a.m. at Cone Park Branch, and every second and fourth Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Millhopper Branch. | | | | Find Homeschool Resources | Join us for an afternoon filled with information, fun activities, and community connections at our Homeschool Resource Fair on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Millhopper Branch of the Alachua County Library District. No matter your level of homeschooling experience, this event is perfect for you. Connect with local organizations that provide academic support, volunteer posts, extra-curricular activities, field trip destinations, and more!
