The Alachua County Library District invites all community members to discover the multi-faceted story of the library during National Library Week: There's More to the Story from April 23 to 29 by visiting a library branch or checking out our online resources.

Anyone can stop by their favorite branch and find stories in a variety of formats from picture books to large print, and audiobooks to eBooks, but there is so much more to the story of the library. Patrons can explore our Library of Things and find Book Club Kits, Exploration Backpacks, seeds in our Seed Library, sensory toys, STEM Kits, WiFi2Go, and more. Our library programs bring communities together through our book clubs, storytimes, movie showings, crafting events, D&D and video games, and educational programs. We strive to better our communities by providing internet and technology access, literacy skills, and support for businesses, job seekers, and entrepreneurs.

How does the library add to your story? Does the library provide you with great books, free internet services, fun programs, or all the above? Let the library and your community know! Tell us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using #MyLibrary and tagging @alachualibrary.

The Alachua County Library District offers a wide array of free programs, materials, and resources that are available in person or from the comfort of home, including:

Celebrate National Library Week and three special days observed during the week.

  • National Library Workers Day is Tuesday, April 25 - Thank your favorite library workers in person or online with #NLWD23.
